About the Opportunity:
The WordPress Developer will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins, site integrations and security updates. Additionally, you will support the marketing team in maintaining sites within your assigned portfolio. This will include creating, implementing and updating WordPress pages in line with established standards.

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, a WordPress wiz with exacting design, and functional implementation standards. A can-do attitude with creative problem skills goes a long way too!

This position is located at the Boston campus and is not eligible for remote work.

Responsibilities:

Generate WordPress themes and plugins
Develop and manage website front-end experiences for sites within assigned portfolio
Work with development team to design and manage site back-end, including database and server integrations
Create, implement and update WordPress pages
Troubleshoot content issues
Conduct website performance tests
Monitoring the performance of the live website
Conducting WordPress training
Meet with partners to understand business, content, design and functional needs
Translate needs into technical specifications

Qualifications:
3+ years of experience working as WordPress Developer
Knowledge of front-end and back-end technologies including PHP, CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery
Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN
Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
Strong understanding of website architecture with a keen attention to details
Ability to be self-directed and manage multiple projects at a given time
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive, problem-solving instincts
Able to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment
