Description

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga seeks to fill the position of Web Programmer, to deliver web technology solutions in support of UTC's web presence, including its web content management system (CMS).

Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or closely related plus two years of experience (FT or PT) in developing web solutions and technologies in a university environment, to include: research and website analysis, project planning and software implementation; Drupal development, including writing defect free modules, themes and QA automated testing scripts; setup and use of local Mac or Linux integrated development environments; building responsive websites; and higher education communication and marketing practices. This position also requires a working knowledge of the following: code workflows techniques (e.g. GIT) for code promotion; compiler and decompiler software; Drupal technologies (e.g. Drush, Composer, Drupal Console, Features, Layout builder and Panels); Mac / Linux command line: ssh, scp, git, mySQL; setup and use of local Mac or Linux integrated development environments with source code editor, building automation tools, debugging, software package management, database and web services; PHP, HTML/HTMLS and CSS/CSS3; and developing accessibility strategies for websites.
