POSITION SUMMARY

The Transfer Success Coordinator of Transfer Success Initiatives reports directly to the Director of Recruitment and Orientation and is responsible for providing support, information and connection to four-year institutions to students who aim to transfer to earn a bachelor's degree. The coordinator also ensures students have a firm understanding of their options through exposure to activities such as transfer fairs, hosting visits by representatives from four-year institutions, organizing visits to four-year transfer institutions, and providing transfer events and programming. Additionally, they provide information and assistance in the transfer process through individualized support, one-on-one meetings and group meetings. Additionally, the Transfer Success Office oversees and supervises the Bridge to bachelor's program.




Student Support
  • Provide one-on-one and group assistance in the transfer process (application, scholarships, connecting to support services at four-year institutions).
  • Connect CCA students to on-site transfer representatives.
  • Provides individualized support and transfer planning with each student
  • Identifies referral to additional resources as appropriate based on credit completion
  • Provide informational programs on transfer through in-person and virtual modes of delivery
  • Coordinate support for specific partnerships and scholarship programs
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to improve CCA transfer support services and practices from CCA to four-year institutions
  • Conduct presentations and student resource fairs
  • Provides programming and support through virtual and in-person modes of delivery

Programming Development and Support
  • Coordinate four-year institution campus visits, one-on-one four-year transfer representative visits, transfer fairs, tabling for four-year partners, highlight days and other relevant transfer programming.
  • Oversees the Bridge to Bachelor's program with initiatives like marketing, messaging, and programming connected to each participating four-year institution
  • Build relationships with four-year institutions to further enhance and modify transfer practices and policies as necessary.

Leadership
  • Provide supervision and performance management to Graduate Assistant.
  • Create and implement strategic plan for Transfer Success.
  • Provide leadership and model College values to staff, ensuring an inclusive, engaging and respectful work environment for staff
  • Conduct program evaluation and co-curricular assessment
  • Maintains records, tracking of student participation and database administration
  • Assumes responsibility for all Transfer Success student files in compliance with FERPA
  • Conducts budget management in compliance with state, federal and institution fiscal rules.
  • Provides reports on transfer success initiatives as requested





  • Bachelor's degree from accredited institution.
  • Experience providing direct services to students at an institution of higher education.
  • Knowledge of and experience with transfer processes and reverse transfer processes
  • Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to fostering inclusive and equitable environments
  • Experience managing/monitoring a budget
  • Detail oriented with evidence of creativity and flexibility
  • Evidence of effective oral and written communication skills
  • Supervisory experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in education, psychology, counseling, student affairs, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Banner, Navigate, zoom, teams, and social media platforms
  • Experience providing support and assistance to students transferring from a community college to a four-year institution
  • Understanding of Guaranteed transfer courses and articulation agreements
  • Experience working collaboratively and developing partnerships with institution and community constituents





Salary Range: Anticipated starting salary range: $54,633.00. This salary is determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate balanced with departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information. CCA offers an excellent benefit plan, including generous leave, holiday, and education benefits. Full time employees immediately upon hire earn 15 hours a month annual leave and 10 hours a month sick leave.
