Responsibilities*

Temporary position working for the Summer Vocal Academy of Music:
Junior Academy and/or Senior Academy
Check in and check out academy students at the beginning and end of each day for the duration of each Academy
Escort students to their pick up location at the end of classes every day
Prepare and distribute choir music to students at the beginning of Academy; Collecting and sort choir music at the end of Academy
Assist academy student's transition between classrooms
Assist students locate bathrooms, vending machines, music office, water fountains
Oversee academy students during lunch break
Monitor and report any unusual activities that may occur near the camp activities to the Academy director, admin assistant, or public safety
Assist with printing and distributing announcements, t-shirts, picture forms to students
Assist academy instructors with percussion instruments, art materials, and audio equipment, if needed
Assist with concert preparation and stage set up before and after the concerts: move/set up choral raisers; set up sound shells, set up instruments, music stands, and other concert equipment

Required Qualifications*

Graduation from high school or equivalent
Experience working with summer camps
Current UM-Flint students or UM-Flint music graduates

Ability to complete tasks within a specific time frame
Ability to react fast to situations needing immediate attention
Ability to communicate well with parents, faculty, and staff
