Job Summary:
The office of Enrollment Services at Eastern Washington University invites applications for two Process Coordinators to support EWU's Dual and Concurrent Enrollment team. This entry level position with the Dual and Concurrent Enrollment team at EWU supports College in the High School (CIHS) and Running Start (RS) programs and participants through the application and registration process. The Process Coordinator will:
  • Coordinate all application, registration, and data entry processes.
  • Serve as a primary contact for student participants and CIHS instructors with regards to applications, registrations, and private high school payment indicators.
  • Work closely with other EWU staff to ensure everything data flows are complete and working properly in EWU systems and to identify ways to improve processes.


A successful candidate for Process Coordinator should be comfortable working with computer systems and complex processes; demonstrate willingness and/or experience in working with students or customers from a wide range of abilities, backgrounds and experiences; and have strong attention to detail and written communication skills. This position will exercise independent judgment in interpreting and applying the rules and regulations, processes and procedures.

The Process Coordinator reports to Jennifer Nunez, Director of Dual and Concurrent Enrollment. This position will process thousands of applications for CIHS annually and will assist during cyclical periods in the processing of RS applications.

Required Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree AND one year work experience in the program specialty OR equivalent experience/education. To be considered qualifying, your work experience must include the following:
    • Coordinating program operations beyond entry level work or
    • Work experience in one of the following areas: higher education, running start, student services (k-12 or higher ed).


  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, pay attention to detail and produce desired results
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, friendly and effective manner both orally and in writing
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures regarding transfer admission and records management
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of an integrated team
  • Capacity to effectively address diverse constituencies
  • Advanced computer skills to include: Microsoft Office Suite and SCT Banner (or equivalent)
  • Proficient user of laptop computer
  • Demonstrated interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility, and/or diversity.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience working in fast paced, high demand environment
  • Experience with the Banner Financial Aid System, a website management tool such as WordPress; a mass email and communication tool such as Slate, and/or a student care tool such as Navigate

Responsibility / Duty: Technical and Operations Support
  • Input prospective student applicant data into the student information systems (SIS).
  • Audit daily receipt of applications.
  • Input student confirmation and cancellation information.
  • Input academic reinstatement approval and denial information.
  • Make initial admission decisions for former students.
  • Coordinate creation and filing of student application records.
  • Schedule and coordinate the transition of enrolled student records to the Office of Records and Registration.
  • Schedule and coordinate the periodic destruction of inactive student application records.
  • Coordinate daily mailings to students using mail merge software and advanced macros.
  • Ensure application processes are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Continually assess and improve workflow pertaining to data entry and file management processes.
  • Develop and maintain written procedures to assist in maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with application transition from online Constituent Relations Management (CRM) to SIS.

  • Inform CiHS students of proper registration procedures; resolve holds/problems.
  • Provide CiHS instructors and high school administration of potential registration restrictions due to academic standing holds.
  • Inform other EWU staff and faculty of current processing timelines, procedures, and other information pertinent to their job execution.
  • Complete registration process for students who received advising regarding their academic holds.
  • Assist with testing and implementation of application system updates relating to Dual Enrollment.
  • Provide high school administration with academic reinstatement resources for students dismissed.

Conditions of Employment:
This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. The offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion and passing of a background check prior to beginning employment.

All new employees must comply with EWU Immunization Policy 602-02 and provide proof of immunity or vaccination to MMR before beginning work at EWU. Waivers for the immunization requirements are available for medical or sincerely held religious beliefs.
This position is covered by the Washington Federation of State Employees Collective Bargaining Agreement

Salary Information: The salary for this position is $41,316 (minimum) up to $47,532. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills.
