Job Description

We are hiring! The Career Services Office (CSO) at Boston College Law School is hiring a Part-Time JD Career Advisor for the 2021-2022 school year to join our collegial team to advise JD students and alumni regarding all aspects of career exploration and job search strategy. We are flexible and happy to work with candidates regarding the number of hours per week that they might dedicate to this role (minimum 10 hours/week required).


The CSO is a team of highly experienced, student-centered professionals with a strong focus on collaboration. We enjoy working with each other and with our engaged, proactive students and strong alumni network. We seek to create a diverse work culture that closely matches the diversity of our student body, and encourage applications from interested candidates of all backgrounds to ensure the best, most creative talent on our team.


The successful candidate will primarily:

  • Provide high quality individual advising to JD students and alumni regarding internships, career planning and post graduate opportunities.
  • Review and provide feedback on student and alumni application materials, including resumes and cover letters.
  • Conduct mock interviews.
  • Assist with creating, promoting, and facilitating our best-in-class training programs (in person and virtual) designed to educate students and alumni about career options, application materials, interview preparation and skills, the job search process and other related professional skills.


Requirements

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as a JD degree from an accredited law school.
