Job Summary
Manage information technology workflow and testing of social science data archiving projects for the University of Michigan's Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR), the world's largest social science data archive. Coordinate with social science subject matter experts to define product requirements, create appropriate test cases, and carry out testing on custom-built software to document and disseminate social science data. Gather information and requirements from statistical data analysts on the development and testing of custom-built tools support Data Curation, including the documenting of original data files, improving the structure of data files, and conducting exposure avoidance on data prior to public release. Develop and manage information flows so that data analysts and social science subject matter experts can efficiently provide software developers with feedback and testing of all these products. Participate in the development of systems to support automated product testing (e.g., scripts to regularly report on selected features of a website or database).

Required Qualifications*
Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, or closely-related quantitative Social Science field + 2 years of experience to include experience in data curation, specifically manipulating and improving the quality of raw research data for data archival and preservation purposes, and conducting exposure avoidance reviews on confidential data.
