Job Description:
APPOINTMENT: August 2018

RESPONSIBILITIES: Full-time, tenure track faculty appointment. Teach graduate courses in Clinical/Community Mental Health master's program, undergraduate courses in area of specialization, supervision of master's students' practicum work, and provision of some direct services in the department's Psychology Clinic. Clinical supervision and direct clinical services are credited toward the teaching expectations. Research/scholarly activities and service to the university are expected of all faculty.

RANK & SALARY: Assistant or Associate Professor commensurate with experience. Tenure-track, 9 months. Competitive salary. Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology or related field. Pursuit of Illinois licensure is expected. Strong potential for excellence in teaching, research, and service.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Undergraduate and graduate teaching experience. A variety of clinical experiences and record of scholarly activities. Experience providing direct clinical supervision. Strong written and communication skills. At the Associate Professor level, interest in program coordination and leadership.

For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body).

THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Psychology has 27 faculty, approximately 340 undergraduate majors, 550 minors, and 50 graduate students in Masters Programs (General Experimental and Clinical/Community Mental Health) and a Specialists program (School). The department includes a Psychology undergraduate major with two Options; as well as minors in Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Aging Studies, Neuroscience, and Substance Abuse. The Clinical/Community Mental Health graduate program has been active for the past 40 years and was recently reaccredited by Master's in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council (MPCAC).

Macomb is an Amtrak city with twice-daily service to Chicago. Macomb is located approximately 75 miles from the Quad Cities International Airport (Moline, IL) and 70 miles from the Greater Peoria Regional Airport (Peoria, IL).

WIU-Quad Cities (Student Population: 1,430): The only public university in the Quad Cities area, WIU-QC offers select undergraduate and graduate programs, including a doctorate in education and a doctorate in environmental studies, at its metropolitan, non-residential campus in Moline, IL (population 44,000). The Quad Cities (population 376,000) rests on the banks of the Mississippi River and is comprised of Moline and Rock Island in western Illinois and Davenport and Bettendorf in eastern Iowa. Moline, Illinois is home to the Quad Cities International Airport.
