Job Description

The Business Manager is responsible for all fiscal operations within the Campus School to include:
Development and monitoring of a balanced and self-sustaining budget, management of contracts with state agencies and local cities and towns, oversight of all School payroll, purchasing and facilities management activities and the completion of the mandated Uniform Financial Report for the Campus School.

This position is responsible for managing contracts for services provided to Massachusetts Department of Operational Services plus over 30 cities and towns. The budget for the combined programs of the Campus School amounts to over $3 million.
In order to ensure efficient operations, the incumbent works with internal departments such as the Office of Sponsored Programs and the Controller's Office to meet all internal University requirements. In addition, the incumbent ensures that all government requirements (e.g. reporting, auditing, and proper use of allocated funds) are met.

Essential Functions:

Fiscal Activities: 75%

Responsible for yearly completion of Uniform Financial Report (UFR) for the Campus School and works with the University Financial Director, Independent Auditors and consultant to complete this report. Stays up to date on annual state reporting changes

Responsible for coordination and development of school budgets with Program Director, Dean's Office and Office of Sponsored Programs

Responsible for monitoring expense and revenue transactions in accordance with state, federal and university regulations and makes adjustments, as needed, to accommodate changes in enrollment

Responsible for management and submission of all contracts with Local Education and state agencies

Responsible for working with school Administrative Assistant to ensure management and collection of monthly billings to Local Education Agencies are submitted and received in a timely manner.

Procurement Activities: 10%

Responsible for purchasing of all program equipment and supplies.

Works with Program Director for all school technology needs

Serves as the School's liaison to Lynch Technology Consultant on Campus School technology needs

HR/Payroll Activities: 10%

Responsible for processing of ECR's to ensure timely payroll for all Campus School personnel and ensures that salaries are within state and University guidelines

Responsible for working with Assistant Director to coordinate placement of University student employees and ensures timely payment and weekly Kronos approval

Facilities Management: 5%

Coordinate all maintenance for Campus School

Salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's Degree preferably in the area of Accounting or Finance.
Preferred three to five years of administrative experience working with state and federal funding agencies
