About the Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY:

Northeastern University Sports Performance is seeking to fill a vacancy for the position of athletic trainer that will be a part of our athlete-centered performance care model. This position will report to the Director of Sports Performance. This position delivers athletic training services to all NCAA Division-I intercollegiate athletes at Northeastern University who compete in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and Hockey East.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Managing potentially catastrophic, acute, and chronic athletic injuries within the scope of practice for athletic training, to include rehabilitation and return-to-play decisions.
Collaborating with strength and conditioning coaches, physical therapists, team physicians, sports medicine fellows, athletic training students and other clinical students associated with Sports Performance and Northeastern University.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BOC Certified (or eligible)
Massachusetts Licensed Athletic Trainer (or eligible)
Master's degree from an accredited educational institution in a field related to athletic training
Current CPR/AED certification
