Asst Athletic Trainer II

About the Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY:

Northeastern University Sports Performance is seeking to fill a vacancy for the position of athletic trainer that will be a part of our athlete-centered performance care model. This position will report to the Director of Sports Performance. This position delivers athletic training services to all NCAA Division-I intercollegiate athletes at Northeastern University who compete in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and Hockey East.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Managing potentially catastrophic, acute, and chronic athletic injuries within the scope of practice for athletic training, to include rehabilitation and return-to-play decisions.
  • Collaborating with strength and conditioning coaches, physical therapists, team physicians, sports medicine fellows, athletic training students and other clinical students associated with Sports Performance and Northeastern University.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BOC Certified (or eligible)
  • Massachusetts Licensed Athletic Trainer (or eligible)
  • Master's degree from an accredited educational institution in a field related to athletic training
  • Current CPR/AED certification
