Assistant Professor Clinician Educator - Outcomes Research

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of health services research, database analysis and grant development is required. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

Teaching responsibilities may include mentoring and working with residents, clinical and research fellows to help develop methodology, study design and statistics.

Clinical responsibilities may include participation in clinical trials and supporting clinical innovation within pediatric Orthopaedics.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include leading a pediatric Orthopaedic surgical research program to serve the needs of the pediatric Orthopaedic faculty at CHOP. Meta-analysis and technology assessment are essential.

Prior experience in outcomes research program direction is helpful. Evidence of scholarship is required in the Clinician Educator track.
