The University of Utah College of Social Work invites applications for a 12-month Career-Line faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor (Lecturer) with administrative and teaching responsibilities in the BSW and MSW programs. The candidate selected for the position will serve as the Associate Director of Online Programs and Lecturer for courses in the BSW and MSW programs. This is a non-tenure track faculty position within the University's Career-Line Faculty structure, with a renewable contract. The Director of Online Programs has administrative oversight of online programs in the College of Social Work. The Director, Online Program works closely with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, BSW and MSW Program Directors, Associate Director Education, instructional design staff, and faculty/instructors, respectively. As with all administrative positions, the Director of Online Programs serves at the discretion of the Dean. The University of Utah and College of Social Work value candidates who have experience working in settings with students from various backgrounds and possess a strong commitment to improving access to higher education for historically underrepresented students. Preference will be given to successful candidates who can be present on the University of Utah's Salt Lake City campus. However, consideration will also be given to successful candidates who would reside and work remotely unless otherwise notified. A successful candidate hired into this position and located remotely will be responsible for providing their own work space, telephone, printing, networking and/or internet capabilities at the telecommute location and agree to the terms of the University of Utah campus and Health Academics faculty code and other relevant agreements.

Required Qualifications
Applicants must have earned an MSW degree from a CSWE accredited program; a Doctorate (Ph.D. or DSW) in Social Work is preferred. Applicants must have a history of demonstrated administrative experience and leadership in higher education; online curriculum design and course development experience in social work courses; online teaching experience of social work courses; certification in online teaching is preferred but not required. Applicants must have a minimum of three years of post-MSW social work practice experience; five or more years of post-MSW social work practice experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative leadership and strategic oversight for the College of Social Work's online programs, including budgeting, accreditation compliance, and collaboration with university partners.
Supervise and support instructional designers to ensure the effective development and delivery of high-quality online learning experiences.
Support faculty curriculum developers with training and resources to support high-quality online instruction consistent with best practices and innovative methods in online pedagogy.
Promote online student success by supporting recruitment, orientation, retention, advising collaboration, and resolution of student concerns while maintaining clear communication of program policies.
Support engagement of online faculty, students, and the broader CSW community.
Teach online courses, contribute to curriculum development, participate in college committees, and foster collaborative relationships. With faculty, staff, administrators, and external partners.
