Job Summary
The project manager is responsible for managing and executing the day to day operations of the resilience scale validation study (PI: de Lacy) funded by the Palix Foundation. The person in this position is responsible for administrative oversight of IRB and other regulatory activities, day-to-day operations including recruiting, scheduling, and enrolling study participants, liaising with the partner study site in Alberta, coordinating research team meetings, and supporting the postdoctoral scholar in conducting study assessment visits. Their secondary role includes assisting with other projects and administrative duties in the de Lacy lab as relevant.
This position is time limited and benefitted. This position is funded on a grant that is expected to end June 30, 2027. There is a possibility of extension based on additional funding and performance
Responsibilities
Performs a combination, but not necessarily all, of the following duties:
Drafts IRB applications and amendments
Recruits, schedules, and enrolls study participants
Coordinates with Alberta study team
Manages study resources including, but not limited to, study staff scheduling, participant payment, and other study-related financial transactions, etc.
Supports research protocols in collaboration with postdoctoral scholar.
Participates in regularly scheduled project meetings with the study team.
Performs other duties as assigned by Nina de Lacy.
SUPERVISION
Work is performed under the supervision of Dr. Nina de Lacy.
Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Life Sciences Project Manager, I: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) with up to 2 years of directly related work experience or a master's (or equivalency) degree.
Preferences
Have a Bachelor's degree or higher in psychology, clinical science, psychiatry-adjacent fields, public health, neuroscience, or a closely related field. Preference is for individuals with prior experience with operations management and with prior experience in conducting human subjects mental health research or research in a closely allied field.
