The Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of Molecular biology, single cell RNAseq approaches, animal models of regeneration. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.

Responsibilities may include Establish and lead a research project investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms governing tissue fibrosis and regeneration, with a particular focus on the function and regulation of tissue-resident mesenchymal stromal cells.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to Develop research skills in studying tissue regeneration, including lineage analysis, single cell RNA studies, animal models of disease, transcriptional mechanisms.

Candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years postdoctoral experience
