Children's Hospital Colorado and University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus

Job Summary:

The University of Colorado School of Medicine Department of Radiology and Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) are seeking a Radiologist with fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology and/or Nuclear Medicine, who is also eligible and motivated to pursue certification in the complementary discipline, to join our 41-member pediatric radiology faculty group (36 MD/DO, 5 APP). This on-site position is based at the CHCO Anschutz Medical Campus, which is located along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in the Denver/Aurora area and is the main campus for the larger 600+ bed CHCO pediatric hospital system (inclusive of Anschutz Campus, North/South Hospitals and Colorado Springs Hospital). Our Clinical Practice pathway is a good fit for radiologists who want to focus exclusively on clinical work with a WRVU-based compensation plan that incentivizes clinical productivity. The Tenure-Eligible pathway is a good fit for radiologists who prefer a more traditional academic track with a non-clinical incentive plan that incentivizes academic work.

The position will be primarily centered at the Anschutz Campus; however, our team typically reads by modality for the entire system and there are shift opportunities to work from home. Performing and interpreting fluoroscopy procedures and overseeing and interpreting ultrasound, CT and MRI is required whereas subspecialty coverage of Nuclear Medicine, Musculoskeletal MRI, Cardiac Imaging and Fetal MRI is optional and depending on experience/expertise. CHCO is affiliated with University of Colorado School of Medicine with ample multidisciplinary conferences and teaching opportunities. This position includes early, swing and evening shifts as well as weekend work and after-hour fluoroscopy coverage. We are interested in candidates at any stage of their career from the Sr. Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels. This is an open-track position with faculty able to select between the Academic/Tenure-Eligible and Clinical Practice pathways.

The department has an excellent track record of obtaining J1 waivers, and candidates are encouraged to apply.
