Clackamas Community College (CCC) seeks to hire a permanent
Human Services Instructor
starting in fall 2026. This is a full-time faculty, union, exempt, and benefits-eligible position. We are interested in finding the best candidate for the job, and candidates that may be from a less traditional background. Clackamas Community College has a variety of professional development opportunities that provide support to faculty to develop and enhance their teaching, learning, and assessment practices. Through our Center for Teaching and Learning, faculty have an opportunity to participate in a variety of faculty development programs that include our First Year Faculty Experience (FYFE), which is a year-long learning, training, and community-building program for all new full-time faculty members at Clackamas Community College.

College and Division
The Human Services Program resides within the Education, Human Services and Criminal Justice Department and is a part of the Technology, Applied Science, and Public Services Division. As a division, we are one of four Instructional and Student Support divisions at CCC. The four divisions are: Academic Foundations and Connections (AFAC), Arts and Sciences (A &S), Institutional Effectiveness and Planning (IEP) and Technology, Applied Science, and Public Services (TAPS).
The Technology, Applied Science, and Public Services Division includes ten departments: Customized Training and Development Services, Small Business Development Center, Workforce Development Services, Community Education, TAPS Grants & Career Pathways, Automotive & Welding Technology, Industrial Technology, Education, Early Childhood Education, Human Services & Criminal Justice, Health Sciences and Apprenticeship, Wildland Fire, Emergency Management & Geographic Information.
Instruction & Related Assignments
- Teaches a variety of Human Services classes to a diverse student population.
- Develops and revises curricula, assessments, and course materials for Human Services courses.
- Works any shift as is required to meet student demand. This may include mornings, afternoons, and evenings with the possibility of some weekends.
- Teaches classes as assigned, following approved course outlines.
- Delivers instruction in a variety of modalities to meet program and student needs including face-to-face, remote, hybrid, and/or online.
- Prepares and develops materials for assigned classes.
- Posts and maintains student office hours.
- Provides students with course syllabi.
- Maintains records of grades and attendance; reports individual academic grades when required.
- Participates in assessment activities.
- Participates in professional development activities to remain current in the assigned discipline.
- Develop and strengthen Cooperative Work Experience (internship) sites and supervise students.
- Acts as a liaison to industry and to local high school teachers/students. Be involved with the college community, committee service and advisory committee meetings.
- Works harmoniously and collaboratively with colleagues in an environment that promotes innovation, teaching learning, and service to a diverse student population.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in social work, human development, behavioral health, counseling, addiction counseling, clinical psychology or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in human services (e.g., social work, human development, behavioral health, counseling, addiction counseling, clinical psychology, substance use treatment, gerontology, or closely related field).
- Demonstrated experience teaching, training, or facilitating learning for adult learners using effective and inclusive instructional practices.

- Demonstrates competency in teaching through work experience, educational preparation, or continuing education.
- Bicultural/multicultural skills sufficient to select appropriate behaviors, values and attitudes within different cultures during interactions with others.

Calendar Contract Information
The successful candidate in this position will work a 10-month contract and be paid for 175 days including six (6) paid holidays, per the Full-Time Faculty Bargaining Agreement.
Starting Salary Expectations
Initial Salary Placement will be Step 3 ($82,843.72 annually) per the CCC Full-Time Faculty Salary Schedule.
Benefits
- CCC offers a comprehensive benefit package designed to provide employees and their families, including domestic partners, with access to a broad range of benefit options. Includes Health, Dental, and Vision options, Group Life, Long-term Disability, and Long-term Care Insurance programs.
- CCC currently funds the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS/OPSRP) pension and contributes an additional 6% into the employee's Individual Account Program under PERS/OPSRP. A portion of the 6% will be diverted to The Employee Pension Stability Account as mandated by Senate Bill 1049. CCC offers a tax deferred annuity program and a deferred compensation program where employees may save additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.
- CCC provides a tuition waiver for courses offered at CCC for yourself, domestic partner, and IRS dependents; plus partial tuition reimbursement for yourself at other accredited institutions.
- CCC qualifies as a public employer under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
Terms of Employment
- All positions at CCC are required to be available for work onsite as requested by the college and requires a flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include evenings and/or weekends.
- Those offered employment will be required to complete and sign forms before initiating the background check step.
- CCC employees must reside within 50 miles of Oregon City, Harmony or Wilsonville campus as a condition of employment.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States must be provided if selected for hire.
