Job Summary
This is an entry level receptionist position for an off-campus behavioral health clinic specializing in substance use and mental health assessments. Assessments are conducted by licensed clinical social workers and patients are recommended to community partners. This clinic does not provide direct substance use, mental health, or any other additional behavioral health treatment services. The clinic offers services to a diverse patient population and offers subsidized assessment costs for individuals unhoused, underemployed, unemployed, or who otherwise qualify. Patients may also be involved in the legal system which is requiring them to obtain an assessment.
Receptionist I | Pay Range: $17.00 - $17.65 | Description: Entry-level support role. Perform routine tasks as directed and under close supervision. Typically requires little to no related experience.
Receptionist II | Pay Range: $17.26 - $19.00 | Description: Mid-level support role. Complete routine tasks under moderate supervision.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Perform administrative patient care and general office operational support.
- Responsibilities include the following:
- Schedules patient appointments and generates associated documentation.
- Processes appointment co-payments.
- Answers incoming phone calls and returns voicemails and emails.
- Receives, greets and directs individuals to appropriate person or office.
- Answers general questions about the assessment process, organization, treatment community, etc.
- Creates and maintains files.
- Position may also include generating mail, scanning documents, and other administrative tasks.
- Position requires basic word processing, Excel, and data entry knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
Receptionist, I: Requires little to no related experience.
Receptionist, II: Requires at least 1 year of related experience.
Preferences
Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Background associated with behavioral health a plus. Patient communication skills.
