Position Announcement

Utah Valley University is seeking a highly organized Project Manager to support donor and alumni marketing and communications efforts that advance fundraising and engagement across the university. In this role, you will lead project intake and kickoff, build and manage timelines, coordinate donor signage from concept to installation, track budgets, and maintain a division wide communications calendar. You will play a central role in ensuring high visibility campaigns and donor experiences move efficiently from idea to execution while strengthening systems that support long term fundraising success.

Summary of Responsibilities


  • Project intake and management Facilitate project intake, kickoff, and completion for IA Marcomm requests Translate requests into clear scopes, timelines, and task plans Build and manage project schedules, dependencies, and deliverables Enforce deadlines and follow up to ensure projects move forward Manage approximately 10 to 20 requests per month of varying size and complexity
  • Project management systems and workflows Own day to day project management tooling for IA Marcomm Build and maintain intake forms, task templates, automations, and reporting Ensure workflows are designed to be platform flexible as tools evolve Support consistent adoption and use of project management processes
  • Donor signage coordination Coordinate donor signage projects from initiation through installation Collaborate with IA Design and DODs to ensure accuracy and compliance with naming agreements and style guidelines Work directly with external vendors on donor signage production and installation Coordinate estimates, orders, invoices, and payments through Wolverine Marketplace Track timelines and ensure signage is installed as planned
  • Budget tracking and forecasting Track project level budgets, estimates, and actuals Monitor invoices and expenses related to donor signage and Marcom projects Support basic forecasting to inform upcoming project needs Provide budget visibility to leadership without final financial authority
  • Division wide communications calendar Create and maintain a division wide communications calendar Coordinate timing across campaigns, appeals, and donor communications Support visibility and sequencing to reduce conflicts and duplication Does not own messaging, strategy, or content creation
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications


  • Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree and two years of related experience
  • Or an associate degree and four years of related experience
  • Or a combination of education and experience totaling six years
  • Project Management certification, or formal training in project management methodologies and tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, project management, or a related field
  • Experience working in higher education or nonprofit environments
  • Experience with project management tools and workflow automation
  • Experience coordinating vendors and tracking budgets
