Description:
The Department of Film and Media Studies at Smith College invites applications for a one-year, half-time benefits eligible position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor to begin July 1, 2026. Teaching responsibilities for this position are: Introduction to Film and Media Studies (co-teaching with dept. chair) in fall, a global media history course (history of film, television, or video games) in spring, and an advanced research seminar (in candidate's area of expertise) in spring. Ph.D. in Film and Media Studies or a relevant field is expected by the time of appointment. Candidates from groups underrepresented in Film and Media Studies are encouraged to apply.
