(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Serves a critical role within the department by cultivating and sustaining strategic partnerships between the university and employer organizations. Responsible for expanding career opportunities for students and alumni by designing and executing employer engagement strategies that align with institutional goals and workforce needs. Leads efforts to build new partnerships, strengthen existing relationships, and create meaningful, targeted opportunities for employers to connect with students and alumni through recruitment, experiential learning, and career development initiatives, ultimately advancing student success and supporting the university's mission.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Collaborates with leadership to manage, strengthen, and grow relationships with current and prospective employer partners in support of student and alumni career outcomes
2. Identifies, cultivates, and sustains new employer partnerships that align with the university's mission, institutional priorities, and emerging academic strengths
3. May lead assigned employer outreach staff to strategically expand Kennesaw State University's employer network and support coordinated employer engagement efforts
4. Serves as the primary liaison to an assigned staff, providing strategic guidance through individual consultations, team meetings, performance management, and targeted professional development to support academic unit and employer partnership development
5. Engages and collaborates with faculty and academic administrators to remain informed of academic trends, workforce needs, and programmatic priorities, ensuring employer engagement strategies are aligned with academic goals
6. Conducts strategic employer outreach to Georgia-based and national employers that align with Kennesaw State University's evolving academic strengths and workforce priorities
7. Provides consultation and guidance to employer partners seeking engagement opportunities across the university, ensuring coordinated, high-impact employer involvement with students, alumni, faculty, and staff

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license

Required Experience
Three (3) years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Proposed Salary

The budgeted salary range for this role is $51,600-$61,500 annually. Offers are based on relevant experience.

Strong communication and consultation skills to align employer strategies with academic and institutional priorities
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Skill in building and sustaining strategic partnerships with employers and campus stakeholders
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
