Craniofacial Orthodontist
The Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Utah is seeking a board-eligible or ABO board-certified Craniofacial Orthodontist to join our multidisciplinary team beginning August 1, 2025. Applicants must have completed a 12-month university-based craniofacial orthodontic fellowship, preferably hospital-based.
This is a full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor level on the Clinical Track. The position supports program growth associated with:
- Expansion to the new Lehi Hospital craniofacial program
- Coverage for the Salt Lake Primary Children's Hospital orthodontic clinic
- Addition of a second Cleft Team Clinic beginning March 2026
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Provide comprehensive orthodontic evaluation and treatment for congenital and acquired craniofacial anomalies, cleft conditions, and facial trauma from infancy through adulthood.
- Deliver care in outpatient, inpatient, and operating-room settings.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary cleft and craniofacial team, plastic surgeons, speech pathologists, pediatric specialists, and other providers.
- Establish and maintain an orthodontic practice within the University of Utah Health system.
- Participate in education, team conferences, and outreach to offsite satellite clinics in the Salt Lake Valley.
Qualifications Required:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics
- DDS, DMD, or equivalent degree
- Completion of a 12-month university-based craniofacial orthodontic fellowship (hospital-based preferred)
- Utah State Dental License
- Ability to obtain credentials with the University of Utah and Primary Children's Hospital
