Job Description:
Madison College's School of Academic Advancement is seeking a Student Support Coordinator to serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and current students for the High School Completion program, guiding them through the intake and orientation process, and connecting them to essential college resources.
The Student Support Coordinator role is responsible for delivering responsive and inclusive services, student-centered support, maintaining accurate scheduling services, and participating in outreach efforts that encourage student engagement and retention. Offering accessible and coordinated assistance, this position plays a critical role in helping students navigate key transition points in their academic journey, particularly those working toward high school completion.
Position Details:
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 6:00pm.
Benefits: Madison College provides a generous benefits package of vacation, holidays, health/vision/dental/life insurance options, and you will be able to participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS).
Grant Funded: This position renewable grant funded through June,30,2026. Continuation of this position is dependent on continued grant funding beyond this date. However, it is expected to be renewed.

Accountabilities:
- Serves as the initial point of contact for prospective students by welcoming visitors, answering inquiries and guiding individuals through the program intake process to support informed enrollment decisions.
- Assesses student needs and refers individuals to appropriate college services and resources to ensure access to academic and personal support.
- Coordinates intake follow-up by scheduling advising appointments and providing students with accurate information to support timely enrollment.
- Supports student retention efforts by participating in outreach activities and calling campaigns to promote continued engagement and enrollment.
- Provides cross-program administrative support, including assistance with language education programming, to ensure consistent service across departmental areas.
- Contributes to an inclusive, equitable and supportive environment where everyone at the institution feels valued, respected and empowered to reach their full potential.
- Adheres to college policies, directives and work rules while maintaining a commitment to the college's mission, vision and values.
- Performs other related duties within the scope of the position as required for the efficient operation of the division and to support institutional objectives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of college resources, services and student support systems.
- Knowledge of relevant computer and software programs such as word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision.
- Ability to provide customer service and resolve concerns.
- Ability to manage multiple processes, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Skill in engaging positively with all populations and communities, contributing to a safe and inclusive learning and work environment.
- Skill in effectively and respectfully communicating with others.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent relevant work experience
Experience:
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
