Assistant Professor, Clinical, Business Analytics
Information Systems and Business Analytics
Location: Waco
Open Date: Aug 07, 2023
Deadline: May 31, 2024 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time
Description:
The Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics in the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University invites applications for a non-tenure-track position at the Clinical Assistant Professor level.
Preference will be given to candidates with a professional background in analytics, demonstrated potential for teaching in the area, and publishing high-quality research relevant to the field. The Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics seeks to enhance the school's standing and reputation with ambitious researchers who have initiated and/or sustained a record of publications in high-quality journals. And since this is a clinical faculty position, we also highly value relevant work experience in analytics. Candidates should be devoted to excellence in teaching. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The primary need is teaching introductory business analytics courses to undergraduate business majors, though graduate teaching in our MSBA program is also possible. The standard teaching load for fall and spring semesters will be between 6-8 courses, depending on research productivity.
The Hankamer School of Business (http://www.baylor.edu/business/) is AACSB accredited and home to the Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics (https://www.baylor.edu/business/isba/). The Information Systems and Business Analytics Department has 35 full-time faculty supporting three full-time MIS degrees (undergraduate MIS, MSIS, and Ph.D.), both an online and on-campus MSBA, as well as business school service courses in quantitative business analysis (QBA), MIS, and business communications. Baylor's Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics faculty positions offer market-competitive salaries, generous research support, and better-than-average benefits. Benefits include tuition remission for spouses and dependents at Baylor and a consortium of other highly regarded private universities. In August 2015, the department moved into the new state-of-the-art Paul L. Foster Campus for Business and Innovation (http://www.baylor.edu/giving/fostercampus/).
