The College of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position at the Lecturer level with successful applicants starting Fall 2020. A Master's degree is required, and strongest consideration will be given to candidates with expertise in general Information Technology and industry experience that may include programming, computing hardware, algorithms, networking, security and operating systems. The College is hiring four lecturers to support a new, accelerated information technology program in partnership with industry with the projected start date for the program of Fall 2021. Lecturers will report to the Program Director. The positions will be filled pending availability of funds.
Successful candidates will possess the following requirements:
- Master of Science degree in Computer Science or related field
- Industry experience in computer science, IT, information security or related field
- Ability to teach introductory/advanced courses in information technology and computer science
- Candidates should be willing to engage in a variety of instructional modalities
- Willingness to engage in assisting the UTC campus in its ability to reach additional goals as specified in UTC's Strategic Plan, including a demonstrable commitment to diversity and inclusion
