Job Description

Reporting to the Assistant Dean, Professional Development and Urban Outreach, the Assistant/Associate Director for Urban Outreach supports the successful execution of all programming related to the urban outreach initiatives at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development. This currently includes the Donovan Urban Teaching Scholars (M.Ed) and College Bound (pre-college) programs. As the urban outreach initiatives expands its service to other disciplinary areas within the Lynch School (Mental Health, School Counseling, Educational Leadership, MESA), the Assistant/Associate Director will coordinate research, recruitment, and programming efforts to launch successful, new cohorts and models within these academic programs as well.

The day to day operations of the urban outreach programs, programming, student advising and support, programs of study management, and data tracking and analysis are essential facets of this position. Furthermore, as it relates to prospective students, duties include active recruitment of candidates for urban outreach initiative related programs, candidate selection, communication/liaising with candidates, partner schools, and prospective partner schools for the purpose of attracting high quality candidates and training placements, and coordinating with faculty for course/seminar delivery. For these purposes, this position will collaborate closely with the Office of Graduate Student Services and the Office of Field Placement and Outreach.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $63,900 to $79,850; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Masters degree in higher education/education, school counseling, or counseling/clinical psychology is required.
Minimum of 2 years experience working in an urban school or clinic in direct service and/or administrative role is required.
Strong interpersonal and project management experience is highly valued.
Ability to manage many projects, to develop appropriate priorities, and meet deadlines.
