Job Description

The Associate Director, Graduate Admissions is responsible for implementing the enrollment strategy of the Lynch School of Education and Human Development in consultation with the Assistant Dean of Graduate Admissions & Financial Aid, the Provost Office and the Dean's Office, through recruitment initiatives and targeted marketing campaigns. The Associate Director will generate potential student interest to increase the number of applications and inquires for the Lynch School with the goal of meeting enrollment targets. The Associate Director will manage the recruitment /communications efforts of the Lynch School to increase the number of prospective students, as well as build and maintain connections with a broad network of organizations. The Associate Director will also be responsible for the implementation and oversight of technology for the Admissions process and awarding of financial aid and will serve as the school's liaison with the University Slate team.

Essential Functions:

Oversee off-campus and on-campus recruitment events with the goal of generating prospective student inquiries and applications. In collaboration with faculty and staff, create and articulate narratives describing the school and its culture and mission. In conjunction with the Provost Office, identify and target new populations of potential students, network with organizations and institutions, and create pipelines of applicants with the goal of meeting enrollment targets. Collect, maintain and report accurate data, including but not limited to number of applicants.

Under the direction of the Assistant Dean and the Provost's Office, manage the marketing communications efforts of the Lynch School Graduate Admissions through market research and analysis of strategic advertising and marketing opportunities. Participate on a cross-functional recruitment and outreach council in an effort to evaluate and refine marketing, messaging, and communications to drive enrollment growth. Work with faculty, staff, the Provost Office, University Communications, and ITS to implement the marketing and branding strategy for the Lynch School. Ensure that the Graduate Admissions' website's look, feel and content are consistent with the marketing communications goals of the school and that the content is both fresh and supports the messages appropriate for a particular time in the recruitment cycle.
Advise and mentor prospective and current students in choosing programs and degrees that best serve their future career aspirations. Define and implement performance metrics to drive consistent, student-centric service and processes
Review application files. In collaboration with the assistant dean, determine admission and financial aid decisions.

Train, direct and evaluate the performance of the office non-exempt staff and student employees. Oversight of the trouble shooting and training of staff on new technologies including Slate, Eagle Apps.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $62,650 to $78,300; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. Master's degree or advanced coursework in business, higher education management preferred
A minimum of three to five years of professional level admissions and/or marketing experience within higher education required.

Strong organizational, prioritization and project management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Skill in locating and reaching out to potential candidates and in increasing the diversity of the School
Enthusiasm for the mission of the Lynch School of Education and Human Development and excitement about the opportunity to promote the Lynch School to wider publics
Highly energetic and enthusiastic with the motivation to meet and exceed goals.
Strong computer skills including MS Office and a thorough knowledge of social networking sites. Willingness and ability to learn new software programs and technologies quickly. Working knowledge of Slate preferred.
Cooperative team player who works well independently and with others in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
