Job Summary/Basic Function:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Performs advanced clerical work requiring application of varied complex work methods and procedures. Work requires familiarity with the regulations controlling Facilities Plant personnel records, their functions, policies, practices, and the making of minor decisions in the application of such regulation and policies. Work is subject to periodic review. Unusual work problems are referred to the supervisor.

Performance is reviewed by the Manager of Admin Services through reports and accounting controls and is subject to inspection.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
1. Perform day to day receiving transactions including verifying receipt of merchandise, services, and equipment.
2. Follow established procedures for processing receipts.
3. Process and keep track of incoming invoices for compliance with financial policies and procedures
4. Investigate and resolve customer queries.
5. Communicate with customers via phone email, mail or in person.
6. May prepare summaries and statistical reports.
7. Provides routine information upon inquiry; may answer orally or in writing.
8. Act as backup to dispatch unit.
9. Communicate calmly and effectively when handling emergency calls or customer complaints
10. Perform all other relevant duties as may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:
GENERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:
At least three (3) years directly related and progressive experience in complex clerical work.

Education/License:
Vocational or other technical school, certification training or apprenticeship required beyond high school, or a similar combination of experience and training which provides the following knowledge, skill and abilities requirements.

Associate degree preferred, but not required, or similar combination of experience and training which provides the following knowledge, skill and abilities requirements.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of business English, arithmetic, and of office practices and procedures.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions; to maintain complex records and files; to make mathematical computations; to make decision based on knowledge of departmental procedures.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to understand and follow departmental policies and procedures.
Must be computer literate and able to perform EXCEL spreadsheet applications.
Basic understanding of fundamentals of accounting.
Able to operate a two-way radio system and multi-line phone simultaneously.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have physical ability to perform minimal physical work and be able to be confined to one area except during established breaks.

Mathematics: Must be able to perform routine arithmetic functions and solve simple equations.

Remembering: Must be able to follow, retain, and recall complex instructions.

LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Reading: Must be able to comprehend detailed technical instructions.

Writing: Must be able to write or print on forms.

Speaking: Must have ability to communicate verbally with logic.

Reasoning: Must be able to make complex decisions and request advice for unusual decisions.
