Postdoctoral Positions in Functional Transcriptomics, Cell Signaling, and Cancer Immunotherapy
Location: University of Pennsylvania - Perelman School of Medicine
Open Date: Oct 27, 2026
Deadline:
The Thomas-Tikhonenko laboratory is recruiting postdoctoral fellows to pursue newly funded basic and translational research projects aimed at elucidating the role of aberrant mRNA splicing in defining cancer vulnerabilities and identifying new targets for therapy. Our research spans hematologic malignancies and solid tumors, combining mechanistic studies with the development of novel immunotherapies. Please visit the lab website for ongoing projects, recent publications, and current members. We are located in the Colket Translational Research Building of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, which shares a contiguous campus with the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine. This setting provides ample opportunities for interactions with the NCI-designated Abramson Cancer Center, the Institute for Immunology and Immune Health, the Institute for Biomedical Informatics, and other research programs.

Strong candidates will hold PhD, MD, DVM, or equivalent doctoral degrees and have demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following fields: RNA biology, cancer genetics/genomics, cell signaling, immunotherapy, or bioinformatics. Recent graduates with strong research accomplishments in adjacent areas are also encouraged to apply. Eligibility for federal training grants is a plus but not a requirement.
