Job Summary
The University of Utah Asia Campus Industry Foundation (UIF) is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Continuing Education Program Coordinator to support the development, administration, and operation of its Continuing Education programs in South Korea. The position supports professional, lifelong learning, corporate, public-sector, and community education initiatives. The Program Coordinator works closely with the Director of Continuing Education to coordinate courses and programs, communicate with instructors and participants, support external partnerships, and manage day-to-day administrative functions. This position reports to the Director of Continuing Education at UIF.
Responsibilities
Program Development & Operations Support
- Support the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of Continuing Education programs, including professional development, lifelong learning, corporate training, and public-sector education.
- Coordinate course schedules, instructors, classrooms, instructional materials, registration, certificates, and overall program logistics.
- Support instructor recruitment, onboarding, communication, and course preparation.
- Manage participant inquiries, enrollment, attendance, program records, and completion requirements.
- Support the development and delivery of customized education and training programs for corporations, government agencies, and public-sector organizations.
- Assist with external outreach and relationship-building with corporate partners, government agencies, educational institutions, and community organizations.
- Support meetings, presentations, special lectures, events, and other partnership activities.
- Assist with website content, brochures, presentations, email communications, and other marketing and promotional materials.
- Provide Korean-English communication, translation, and interpretation support as needed.
- Support day-to-day administrative operations of the Continuing Education unit, including program documentation and record management.
- Assist with budget tracking, purchasing, payment requests, reimbursements, invoices, and vendor coordination.
- Coordinate with University departments, including Finance, Marketing, IT, Facilities, and other administrative units.
- Support compliance with University policies and applicable Korean regulations related to continuing and lifelong education programs.
- Assist with program data, participant feedback, and other information needed for program evaluation and continuous improvement.
- This position may require occasional evening and weekend work depending on program schedules and events.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Continuing Education.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, business administration, public administration, communications, international studies, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and directly related professional experience.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects, programs, or administrative functions simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Professional working proficiency in both Korean and English (written and spoken)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferences
- Priority will be given to:Certified as a Level 2 or higher Lifelong Educator by the National Institute for Lifelong Education (NILE) under the Ministry of Education in Korea.
- Experience in continuing education, lifelong learning, higher education, corporate training, professional education, or educational program administration.
- Experience coordinating educational programs, courses, workshops, training programs, or events.
- Experience working with corporations, government agencies, public institutions, educational institutions, or other external partners.
- Strong professional communication skills in both Korean and English.
- Experience with program administration, registration, budgeting, purchasing, invoices, vendor coordination, or related administrative processes.
- Experience supporting marketing, outreach, website content, promotional materials, or program communications.
- Experience working in an international, multicultural, or U.S. higher education environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, take initiative, solve problems independently, and work effectively in a developing program environment.
