The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of palliative care and/or cancer rehabilitation. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Candidates should bring to this position expertise through special experiences or additional fellowship training in palliative care or cancer rehabilitation.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and mentoring of Penn medical students and residents as well as allied professionals. This position includes leadership responsibilities for the cancer rehabilitation fellowship.
Clinical responsibilities may include Clinical responsibilities may include working closely with other surgical and non-surgical teams to provide the highest level of interdisciplinary care to a wide range of patients in both inpatient and outpatient care settings.
Selected candidates must have excellent, well refined interpersonal skills and leadership abilities to effectively lead our interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams. Candidates should have strong clinical training, enthusiasm, and a commitment to furthering our clinical services and advancing our academic missions. As an academic faculty member, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide outstanding teaching and mentoring for Penn medical students and residents as well as allied professionals.
