Animal Care Technician I - Washroom

Job Summary

Responsible for daily operation and maintenance of the washroom facility. This position does not interact with animals.

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect animal cages and equipment
Operate washroom equipment, including rack, tunnel and cabinet washers;
autoclaves, disposals units, bedding dispensers and portable washers
Basic record keeping in logbooks
Work with cleaning and disinfecting chemicals
Sanitize washroom and storage areas

Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Animal Care Technician, I: Requires little to no related experience.
