Senior Supervisor, Laboratory Services

Job Summary

This is a clinical laboratory technician position which may be required to travel to the main hospital and other University sites for tissue processing. This position serves the patient by providing precise and accurate laboratory results for the purpose of infertility assessment and management. The technician is responsible for performing andrology laboratory services in accordance with established procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:1. checks in patients for scheduled appointments
2. performs semen diagnostic tests, report and record results
3. evaluates sperm morphology
4. cryopreservation of sperm

Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).

Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:

Senior Supervisor, Laboratory Services: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.

Preferences
Previous work experience in a clinical laboratory is desired.
Ability to pay attention to detail.
Ability to access, input and retrieve information from a computer.
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Knowledge of office procedures and machines.
Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
