Position Description:
1. Recruitment Management - 45%

Provide information about the University's academic opportunities to prospective students, families, counselors, advisors, and other stakeholders through presentations, emails, calls, and one on one conversation.

Plan, develop, and implement on and off campus recruitment travel and activities.

Meet with prospective students, including adult learners and traditional aged college students, through various channels, including community college visits, community college fairs, campus appointments, information sessions, and workshops.

Collaborate with campus stakeholders to meet undergraduate enrollment goals.

Engage in efforts to make higher education more accessible, equitable, and inclusive; participate in working groups to embed these efforts in job responsibilities.

Approximately 10 to 12 weeks of in state and out of state travel. Most travel is in the greater Puget Sound Region.

2. Application Review and Recommendations - 25%

Review, evaluate, and provide initial undergraduate admission recommendations based on university criteria and artistic standards (where applicable)

3. Event Attendance - 15%

Support and actively participate in programs and events engaging prospective First Year, Transfer, Post Baccalaureate, and Pre College students, their families, community organizations, college counselors, and advisors.

Attend major admission events such as preview days and admitted student days.

Evening and weekend work required, especially in fall and spring.

4. Other Duties - 15%

Manage and work on assigned project areas throughout the year.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor's Degree (4-year) in a relevant field.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience, or a combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the job.

Minimum Qualifications

Must possess well-developed organizational skills.
Confidence in public speaking to both large and small groups.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and supporting diverse student populations.
Ability and willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as necessary.
Willingness to learn quickly, ask questions, and accept constructive feedback.
Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications

Speaks, writes, and reads one of the following languages: Spanish, Vietnamese, Somali, Mandarin, Tagalog, Amharic, or Tigrinya, and is interested in utilizing language skills to serve prospective students and families in the college search process.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and federal and state privacy laws.
Experience using an ERP and CRM, specifically Workday and Technolutions Slate CRM.
Knowledge of financial aid trends and issues.
Experience working with diverse young adult and youth populations.
Physical Demands

This position performs work in an office environment. Frequency values: Never; Seldom (1-10%, 0-1 hour); Occasional (11-33%, 1-3 hours); Frequent (34-66%, 3-6 hours); Constant (67-100%, not restricted).

Compensation at a Glance

$52,000 - $55,000

Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate's gender or any other protected status.

Positions designated as hybrid eligible may offer the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule after successful completion of an introductory period of 3-6 months. In these cases, the role typically begins fully on campus to support onboarding and training, with the potential to transition to a hybrid arrangement thereafter.

Positions designated as on-site are not eligible for hybrid work and are expected to remain fully on campus.
