Nurse Practitioner PRN JJYS

Job Summary

Join a driven team of clinicians making a real difference in the lives of underserved youth across Utah. The University of Utah College of Nursing's Practice and Community Collaboration division is seeking a nurse practitioner to deliver comprehensive healthcare at the Juvenile Justice and Youth Services (JJYS) Washington County Youth Center - a rural clinic serving one of Utah's most medically underserved and historically overlooked populations.

This is more than a clinical role. You'll be part of a dynamic, innovative team that values autonomy, mentorship, and meaningful work. Our providers enjoy a high degree of self-determination, manage their own patient panels, and collaborate with colleagues who are genuinely invested in each other's success and in the future of the profession. We are also proud partners in training the next generation of nurse practitioners, and that spirit of teaching and growth runs through everything we do.

This position is primarily in-person at the Washington County Youth Center, with opportunities to expand your role through telehealth coverage at other JJYS locations across the state. Most of our clinics operate Monday through Friday during daytime hours. Our JJYS medical clinics run 5-7 days per week, with providers scheduled on weekdays - and compensated evening and weekend call opportunities may become available over time.

If you're looking for a position where clinical excellence meets purpose, and where your practice can shape both individual lives and the broader systems of care that serve vulnerable youth, we'd love for you to apply.
