A reasonable estimated full-time rate for this position at 100% time is $70,977 to $82,284 annually. However, percent appointments may vary. Percent time: 44.44% Anticipated start: July 1, 2026 or later Position duration: Initial appointment one (1) year with potential renewal, based on performance, programmatic needs, and available funding. Position description

The Department of Communication invites applications for a Lecturer position.

The successful candidate will teach one or more courses per academic year. The classes we currently need are two new offerings in AI Literacy, one undergraduate/graduate bridge course in R Programming, and Comm 187 (Data Science and Communication) or possibly others, depending on curriculum needs.

All courses are taught in-person on campus. Therefore, applicants must be able to teach in-person, with no additional reimbursement.

This position will remain open until filled.

Qualifications


Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Qualified applicants must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in a Social Science discipline, or a field with research or training directly applicable to the course content being taught, by the time of application (ABD status).
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)

Candidates should have a Ph.D. by the appointment start date.

Preferred qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with proven undergraduate teaching experience and mastery of the course content.
