Part-Time Clerk, TRIO Upward Bound
Campus Location: Lynn
Work Schedule: Up to 20 hours a week
SALARY: $19.47/hr.; non-benefited

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Part-Time Upward Bound Program Clerk is a dynamic team-player who provides general clerical support, including database entries for all day-to-day program operations and activities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process all necessary program paperwork and electronic records, including but not limited to: contracts, purchase orders, student hours and stipend reports, applications, travel forms, brochures/flyers, and certificates.
- Assist in executing correspondence from the Upward Bound program to students, parents, schools, etc.; proofread and edit documents.
- Maintain the program database (Blumen), including student information/records and data relevant to external agencies.
- Assist the director with preparing the Annual Performance Report.
- Assist with the hiring and supervision of summer assistants and academic year work-study office assistants.
- Assist with the planning and facilitation of the summer program, including but not limited to:
- Processing hiring paperwork;
- Processing applications;
- Reserving rooms and copying and collating handouts for orientations, trainings, and classes;
- Coordinating campus logistics for the residential stay;
- Reserving buses for activities during residential component (M-F and weekends).
- Chaperone college tours and cultural activities as needed.
- Attend all staff meetings, and prepare/distribute meeting notes as grant documentation.
- Maintain and organize program paper and electronic files and program supplies.
- Post updates/content to the program's social media accounts.
- Maintain and expand positive working relationships with UB students.
- Maintain and expand positive working relationships with NSCC staff and departments that collaborate with the Upward Bound Program.
- Attend professional development.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Associates Degree, or two years of related work experience, required.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and data entry required; Gmail, Drive, Docs, and Sheets.
- Strong computer skills, comfort with technology, and demonstrated accuracy with data entry.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal communication, preferable in a multicultural work setting.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with students and outside agencies to resolve problems.
- Ability to occasionally travel between campuses as necessary.
- Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.
