Position Summary
Working under the supervision of Placement Testing Specialist the EA - Test Proctor provides direct support for students who utilize the Testing Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Placement Testing Specialist and in coordination with the Academic Success Center and the Office of Disability and Accessibility Service, the Test Proctor is responsible for supervising students during testing, maintain test integrity and an environment conducive to testing through effective performance in these essential duties:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare computer labs for testing which includes sanitizing workstations, furnishing labs with stationery and ensuring computers and testing software are working properly before testing.
  • Checking in students with their college or Government issued identification.
  • Maintain a distraction-free testing environment.
  • Provide information about testing policies and procedures to students.
  • Supervise students during testing to maintain test integrity.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in a related field and relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).


Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in exam proctoring, academic testing environments, or nursing education.
  • Familiarity with NCLEX-style testing and nursing curriculum content.
  • Knowledge of testing accommodations and ability to implement them accurately, consistently, and confidentially in collaboration with the testing center.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain exam integrity, security, and strict confidentiality in high-stakes testing environments.
  • Ability to follow standardized procedures and enforce exam policies fairly and consistently.
  • Comfortable using educational and testing platforms (e.g., ExamSoft/Examplify, Blackboard Ultra).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, testing center staff, and administration.
  • Reliable and punctual, with flexibility to support scheduled exam times, including early mornings or extended testing periods into the afternoon.


Salary
  • $34.06 hourly
