Position Summary

Administrative assistants work closely with assigned Law School faculty members to provide administrative and teaching support.

    Minimum Required Education and Experience

    Prefer three to five years in staff support position in a university, law office or other office setting.

    Preferred Education and Experience

    B.A. or B.S. preferred.

    Job Duties
    • Support faculty members to ensure that their work is handled smoothly and efficiently.
    • Perform general administrative duties to support the teaching and research activities of the Law School faculty members, including but not limited to, preparing class materials, examinations and presentations, maintaining grade and attendance rosters, preparing correspondence and various documents, handling calls and mail, arranging appointments and maintaining calendars, and greeting students and other visitors.
    • Assistance in the production of various publications by faculty members. Assistance with administration of quizzes. midterms and final exams.
    • Some coordination and organization of teaching and research related events such as guest lecturers, workshops, and conferences (including travel arrangements for the faculty member and guests).
    • Other faculty support duties as assigned. Faculty assistants exercise judgment and prioritize projects and assignments as assigned.
