Job Summary

The Lassonde Startup Academy is a pre-college program for entrepreneurs, makers, builders, and doers provided by the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, a top-10 ranked program at the University of Utah. Classroom instructors will work directly with high school students (ages 14-18) helping them to discover the entrepreneurial mindset, how to turn your ideas into action, and what it takes to launch a business.

Our 2-week summer residential program runs from June 15th-June 26th, 2026.

This is an in-person position. Applicants will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

The selected candidates must be able to attend a paid week of staff training prior to the program start date and work from June 15th-June 26th, Monday-Fridays.

Responsibilities
Instructors will be responsible for:

- Teaching the ENTP 1010 curriculum
- Assisting with classroom management including the direction, supervision, and organization of students
- Facilitating activities, workshops, and assignments that are part of the curriculum
- Work with Youth Education and Lassonde staff to ensure program quality
- Recognize and respond to teachable moments in the group
- Encourage students to participate in activities by demonstrating excitement and enthusiasm appropriately
- Creating a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment for all students
- Other duties may be assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Preferences
- At least 18 years old
- Prior experience working with high schoolers in a classroom environment
- Prior experience working in the field of Entrepreneurship
- Self-directed, punctual, and highly organized
- Available consistently throughout the scheduled program weeks
