General Description
The College of Fine Arts seeks a Manager of Graduate Admissions. This position manages daily Dean's Office communications with prospective and newly admitted graduate students to the College of Fine Arts across all programs from inquiry to admission as part of a collaborative admissions team across three schools (Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts). They will follow a consultative service approach, learn the educational needs and career goals of prospective students to effectively provide information, answer questions, assist with the application process, and ultimately facilitate matriculation for successful applicants. In consultation with the Director of Graduate Admissions Operations & Systems, the manager will review and process graduate applications for the College of Fine Arts.
Additionally, the Manager of Graduate Admissions will work under the direction of the Director of Graduate Admissions Operations & Systems to implement strategic communication via CRM and social media to maximize lead generation efforts and optimize individualized outreach to inquiries to provide prompt follow-up with prospective students and applicants. They will participate in the creation and presentation of webinars and information sessions as needed and upon enrollment, provide detailed guidance for incoming students to complete steps required to matriculate, resulting in melt mitigation and increased yield.
Essential Functions
- Manage daily Dean's Office communications with prospective and newly admitted graduate students to the College of Fine Arts across all programs (Schools of Music, Theatre and Visual Arts). Following a consultative service approach, learn the educational needs and career goals of prospective students to effectively provide information, answer questions, assist with the application process, collect required documentation, and ultimately facilitate matriculation for successful applicants. 40%
- Serve as the primary contact for prospective graduate students for CFA's online programs, overseeing end-to-end application processing. Manage communications regarding deadlines and requirements, monitor completion of application materials, prepare files for faculty review, coordinate admission decisions, and guide admitted students through enrollment. 20%
- Maintain admissions-related communications for CFA graduate programs (marketing, recruitment, and yield) to be deployed on the college-wide CRM, CFA website, and social media by mining content from the CFA Communications team. Participate in the creation and presentation of webinars, informational recordings and information sessions as needed. 20%
- Upon enrollment, provide detailed guidance for incoming students to complete steps required to matriculate, resulting in melt mitigation and increased yield. Collect and verify official transcripts, standardized test results, and all necessary documentation for academic onboarding of the matriculated graduate student cohort . 20%
Required Skills
3 -5 years of experience in higher education admissions. Cover letter required.
