This posting is for temporary staff positions only and does not apply to faculty roles, such as professors, tenure-track faculty, or adjunct faculty positions. Temporary staff provide short-term support to various departments across Seattle University.
Most temporary roles involve administrative support; however, there may occasionally be opportunities for professional-level or specialized temporary positions.

Qualifications
Most roles in the temporary pool require a high school diploma and three or more years of progressive clerical or office support experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
Preferred Qualifications
Some roles may require a bachelor's degree. Previous experience working in higher education is a plus. Depending on the role, preferred candidates will possess the following highly desirable qualifications and skills: excellent communication and organizational skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows; and experience with various university systems. Individual temporary postings will provide details about specific requirements.

Compensation at a Glance
Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good-faith estimate of the pay for this position at the time of posting. Compensation will meet or exceed the City of Seattle's minimum wage requirements. The final salary offered to the selected candidate will depend on several factors, including the candidate's qualifications and experience, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity, and relevant market data. Compensation decisions are made without regard to gender or any other protected status.
