The College at Brockport
The College at Brockport is accepting applications for a Director, Center for Excellence in Learning, Teaching and Scholarship (CELT). Reporting to the Vice Provost of Academic Affairs, the Director will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and leading faculty development programming in support of The College at Brockport's mission, vision and values. This is a full-time, 12 month position.
Major Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in an academic discipline, faculty development or a closely related field by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university; experience teaching at the college or university level at an accredited institution; knowledge of outcomes-based curricular design, program development, assessment of learning outcomes, student-centered learning and learning theories, and technology enhanced teaching and learning; demonstrated collaborative leadership and management skills, and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple academic and administrative units; progressive experience in managing staff and resources; demonstrated ability to effectively manage campus projects and initiatives; effective verbal and written communication skills; and, ability to effectively work in a culturally diverse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral or terminal degree in an academic discipline, faculty development or a closely related field by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university; record of scholarship with a focus on teaching and learning; knowledge of course management systems and effective online teaching methodologies; knowledge and use of innovative teaching approaches (e.g. collaborative learning, civic learning and engagement, problem based learning); online teaching experience; competence in instructional design; knowledge of assessment; and, prior experience working in a faculty development center.

The mission of CELT is to empower faculty and staff to create high-quality learning experiences for students, to work productively in their field, and to provide meaningful service to the College community.
