The division of Information Technology Services is currently seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Software Architect. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing software solutions to address complex business issues, and providing technical leadership within the Information Technology Services department. The ideal applicant will able to thrive in a highly collaborative workplace and actively engage in the development process. We are looking for someone with impressive architectural design background and excellent interpersonal skills.

To ensure that essential services are provided to the university community, the employee will be required to work outside their regular working hours as needed.

Qualifications:

This individual will be responsible for the overall architecture of Northeastern Universitys Salesforce implementation. This includes being responsible for design and development of new software or extensive software revisions for external customers. Serves as a technical expert by creating high-level architectural specifications and addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility. Performs research on the potential project feasibility to management. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.

The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering along with a demonstrated initiative in continuing studies and coursework. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. The ability to work independently and to assume a team lead role when necessary for some projects.

A minimum of five years experience with developing Salesforce.com applications is required. This includes developing using the Force.com development environment, APEX programing language, creating workflows, triggers, formulas, and is familiar with salesforce.com administration. Salesforce Developer 501 Certification and experience with Salesforce Lightning is highly desirable.

The candidate must have the demonstrated ability to work directly with customers, teams, and in a matrix managed environment. This role requires the individual to be forward thinking with application development technologies, along with researching and presenting recommendations. Must have excellent written and oral communication, posses the ability to manage multiple projects and activities.

In addition to this, two or more years experience in any of the following technologies is preferred: RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server) (sql, pl/sql, t-sql), Node.js, Java/JEE, Banner (Student, Finance, AR or Advancement), Scripting Languages (Perl, korn shell, c-shell), CastIron, Informatica or other integration platform experience, Cloud Based Development.
