Position Description

Short-Term Worker - Athletic Events Van Driver
Location: Starting at Chaffey College, Rancho Cucamonga, and proceeding to field locations. Start/End Date: 7/1/2022 to 6/30/2023 Working Hours: Dependent upon destination. Driving is on an as-needed basis and is irregularly spaced through the term. Hourly Rate: $16.00

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Being able and ready to work in-person with Chaffey students, Chaffey employees, or other members of the Chaffey community/Chaffey partners/Chaffey contractors is an essential function of this job.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Transport college athletic teams, including coaches and student-athletes to and from various competitive sites including some driving on unpaved maintained roads.
  • Operate vehicles used in the transportation department including 8-passenger vans.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.


Qualifications

  • Must have experience or training relevant to driving on unpaved maintained roads.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid California Class C driver's license.
  • Acceptable driving record; clean of any major infractions.
  • Ability to pass Dept. of Justice/FBI background check.
  • Ability to observe health, safety, and California driving regulations.


Additional Information

Working Conditions:
  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time.
  • Work schedule may vary up to 40 hours per week.
  • Driving is on an as-needed basis and is irregularly spaced through the term.
