Senior Associate Director, Marketing Communications
Boston College School of Social Work and Boston College Law School
Office of University Communications

Principal Responsibilities:
Working under the supervision of the Office of University Communications Director of Marketing Services, the Senior Associate Director provides day-to-day direction for the development and execution of a wide range of marketing projects and services that address strategic goals of the University's Law School and Boston College School of Social Work. As the Office of University Communication's primary liaison to these divisions, the Senior Associate Director works with design, web, video, and photography staff, providing consultation and project management for a range of print and digital marketing efforts. The Senior Associate Director also assists as managing editor for Law's Curriculum Vitae newsletter to alumni.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $80,050 to $100,050; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred. Candidates should have 10plus years of experience in marketing and communications management and client relations, with several years' experience in the higher education sector.

Excellent writing and editing skills and experience; integrity, discretion, and creativity are a must. Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of:

Higher education communications issues; an appreciation of academic culture;
Web-based technologies and experience in content creation for multi-channels platforms;
Digital marketing, PPC, SEO, email marketing and the importance of using data to inform and refine marketing efforts.

Applicants should show an ability to develop strong partnerships with colleagues and University partners, and to earn trust within an organization. Superb project management skills and the capacity to oversee a wide range of projects at once are essential, as are developing appropriate priorities and meeting all deadlines. An appreciation for Jesuit Catholic education and the goals and values of Boston College is critical.
