Research Analyst


The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Research Analyst.

Applications will be accepted until 1/21/2018.

The Research Analyst will perform wide-ranging prospecting and research activities as well as relational database/web portal tasks as directed by the priorities and procedures of the office. The priorities of the office are to research possible faculty hires and provide informational and data exhibits for the needs of the Associate Vice President for Academic Mission Support.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (4 years)
1 to 2 years Experience Demonstrated experience in prospect research, development, library research or information related field, preferably in higher education. Knowledge of the range of resources available to prospect researchers and the ability to apply those resources in an organized and purposeful manner. Demonstrated analytical skills to initiate and perform complex research activities. Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and develop proactive prospecting methodologies to support department goals, including familiarity with data mining, sophisticated databases, queries, etc. Strong computer skills and demonstrated background in Internet-based research. Experience working with relational databases is a necessity: web portals, as well as Microsoft Office, including Excel. Ability to download and export information between systems. Excellent oral and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize work, and manage multiple and competing priorities while meeting deadlines. Strong project management skills and problem solving skills, demonstrated ability to work in a conscientious and meticulous environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information. Ability to recall, recognize and communicate interrelated information pertaining to the departments research activities.
