Job Description

The Program and Events Administrator manages and executes multiple events and several major, high profile conferences to promote and align with the activities of supported centers and institutes with a strong focus on events for the Global Leadership Institute, the Clough Center for the Study of Constitutional Democracy, and Continuing Education. To this end, he/she is responsible for managing the entire process from preplanning to serving as the point person during execution. Oversees the coordination and delivery of various programs such as lecture series, colloquia and fellow programs developed across the designated centers and institutes. Working closely with the Programs and Events Manager, the Administrator plans and ensures the successful execution of over 60 events and at least 2 major conferences on an annual basis for the designated centers and institutes. This position is a key member of the Center for Centers cross-functional support team and provides superior customer service in the areas of event planning and program management. This role organizes all logistical aspects including; developing timelines; scheduling speakers; selecting menus, vendors, and venues; and securing media and tech services. Other responsibilities include effectively managing event budgets; coordinating publicity efforts; conducting post-event evaluations; and proactively communicating with faculty, participants and other special guests to address anticipated needs. The incumbent also serves as a resource to coordinate and implement various programs developed across the designated centers and institutes. Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $46,550 to $58,200; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Minimum qualifications, experience and technical skills: Bachelor's degree required. Prefer concentration in hospitality management. Certification in meeting planning a plus. 2+ years experience of progressively responsible event and conference planning, academic setting preferred. Exceptional computer skills; Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with databases.
