Job Description

This is a weekend, 11 am- 7 pm, per diem, non-benefited position, $25.00 per hour

Experienced medical assistant to support the medical and nursing staff in the care of the patients in Boston College's Primary Care Center. This includes both clinical and clerical responsibilities such as drawing blood, obtaining vital signs, documenting and updating pertinent medial history, medication and allergies; scheduling appointments, coding of clinical encounters and assisting in supplies and inventory management. Must be flexible and able to function in a busy environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills required. Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with 3-5 years of outpatient clinical experience. Must have EMR and phlebotomy experience.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with 3-5 years of outpatient clinical experience.
Previous EMR experience
Phlebotomy experience
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a busy medical setting
