Job Summary:
The Department of Physics at Lamar University (Texas State University System) invites applications for an Instructor in Physics to begin in January 2019, or until filled. The one year appointment may be extended depending on performance.

Ideal candidates are expected to have a commitment to education at all levels, demonstrate excellence in English proficiency, and be capable of supervising undergraduate research. The successful candidate must have the ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and will be expected to teach both lectures and labs for elementary and general (algebra-based and calculus-based) Physics courses. Opportunities will further exist for the candidate to teach junior/senior-level courses.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicant must hold at least a Masters degree in Physics is required. Candidates must have had experience teaching in Physics at the university/college level.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D in Physics is preferred.
