About the Position:
We are searching for an exceptional individual to join our team as the Financial Management and Planning Officer. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Resource Planning and Budget, the Financial Management and Planning Officer provides oversight, resource planning and financial management in support of the budgetary programs of the university. Primary responsibilities include budget planning, revenue management, rate review, development of resource/cost allocation plans, financial reporting and development of policies and procedures. The Financial Management and Planning Officer conducts annual reviews and provides analytical reports to highlight key financial performance indicators. Works collaboratively with individuals within the division on campus, and the Chancellor's Office. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Finance or related field. Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience in budgeting, financial management.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly analytical environment. Ability to use sound judgment, manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Proficient working with an ERP system and using office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (e-mail and calendar).

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
